Happy holiday weekend! When five o'clock rolls around, the three-day weekend officially begins! I'm so excited to have an extra day off this week. We have a to-do list a mile long with some fun thrown in. Let's kick things off with me sharing my five for this week ~
1. Memorial Day - 2025
This Monday is Memorial Day. Memorial Day, observed on the last Monday of May, is a time for Americans to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives while serving in the U.S. military. Originally known as Decoration Day, it began after the Civil War as a way to commemorate fallen soldiers by decorating their graves with flowers and flags. Today, Memorial Day stands as a solemn reminder of the cost of freedom. While many mark the occasion with family gatherings, barbecues, and the unofficial start of summer, it’s also a day for reflection—visiting cemeteries, attending memorial services, and observing a moment of silence at 3:00 PM local time to pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Like I bet many of you, seeing the new Mission Impossible movie is high on my list this weekend! There's a fair amount of rain forecasted for the weekend, so seeing a movie might be the perfect way to spend some time. We've really liked the previous Mission Impossible movies and are looking forward to seeing this one. Here's the summary ~
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One (2023) follows Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team as they face a new global threat: a powerful AI known as "The Entity" that has gone rogue. The AI can infiltrate any digital system, making it nearly unstoppable. Ethan must track down two halves of a key that can supposedly control or destroy it, all while being pursued by deadly enemies—including Gabriel, a ghost from his past.
The film ends on a cliffhanger, with Ethan securing one half of the key and uncovering part of the AI's secrets, setting up the story for the next installment, Dead Reckoning Part Two.
With school out and summer vacation in full swing, it’s the perfect time to hit the road, pack a picnic, or head out on an adventure. Make sure to toss these pre-moistened dish wipes into your car, suitcase, or picnic basket—they’re a game-changer when there’s no sink or dish soap in sight. Designed with a convenient rinse-free formula, they make cleaning water jugs and dishes quick and easy, and they’re safe to use on all your cookware.
Is your basement or garage in need of a little organizing? Start with this tote rack! We've all seen the cool tote systems people are making on Instagram, but frankly, we just don't have the time or talent to pull that off. What we can do, though, is put this baby in our Amazon cart and have it magically appear at our doorstep in a few days. The totes aren't included, so you'll need to purchase those separately.
5. HaHa...
That funny cracked me up! I’m so excited to see the Mission Impossible movie this weekend! Have a sweet long weekend lovely lady!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Memorial Day, we have a long weekend too which should be nice.
ReplyDeleteMy fella wants to see the new Mission Impossible movie, I think I watched the first one and none since.
Those dish wipes sound brilliant! What a great idea!
Those dish wipes would have come in so handy for all our Disney trips! I used to pack a tiny bottle of dish soap to wash our cups out at night so we could reuse them the next day. I am definitely going to have to try that meme out; it really made me laugh.
