Five on Friday - July 7, 2017

Well, well - happy Friday!  With only working three days this week, Friday got here pretty darn fast!  That's not a complaint by any means.  We are always ready for a weekend around here!  Hope you enjoy my five for this week ~

1.  Pier View Canvas Sperry Sneakers
So last Friday one of my five was my new Converse shoes.  This week I'm sharing my other new pair of comfy casual shoes - my new Sperry's!  I'm seriously considering picking up a few more pairs in different colors.  Sooooo comfortable, not to mention adorable.  Their memory foam insole makes me feel like I could walk for miles.  You can check them out HERE.

2.  Crush Pineapple Singles to Go
I'm not a fan of plain water, so I'm always searching for things to flavor it up.  My new favorite are these Crush Pineapple singles to go.  Just add the packet to a bottle of water, shake and you have a sugar free tasty drink on the spot.  I hear they are also a great addition to protein shakes for a boost of flavor.  If pineapple isn't your thing, Crush makes other flavors also - grape, strawberry, orange.

We've been gearing up for our trip to Paris next month.  My friend Tammy highly recommended getting one of these travel rolls for our long flight.  It zips up so you can use it to support your lower back or neck.  Lay it flat for a seat cushion or pillow that contours to your body.  Two of them are on their way to my house!  I'm planning on just leaving them in the car after our trip to have on hand when we take a road trip someplace.  Do you have a trip coming up that one of these might come in handy?  Click HERE for more info.
4.  Spider-Man Homecoming
You gotta love a good Spider-Man movie and a new one is hitting the theaters today.  Here's what Rotten Tomatoes says about it, "A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine--distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man--but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened."

30 humor Quotes about Husband

Hope you have a great weekend.  We have zero plans.  Eric has to work on Saturday and Sunday, so we'll probably just hang out and keep things pretty simple.  I'm reading a great book (A Paris Apartment) so I sure don't mind having a little down time to finish it!  See you next week.

  1. Happy Friday! I need to look into that travel roll. I feel like I'm constantly exhausted when I travel and I think it's because the flights always take it out of me!

  2. Happy Friday! I've never seen that travel roll before. Looks like a good buy. Yay for a good book to read with some time to read it.

  3. I could use that travel roll even when I'm not traveling! The wooden chairs at my kitchen table, where I do most of my blog writing, can be unforgiving. That quote is the most, though.

  4. I love those shoes, they are so cute! And I'm horribly startled by things, I'm pretty sure that toaster meme was written about me, ha!

  5. i like the shoes. i hope yall enjoy paris. i was there about seven years ago with some cousins. we were on a tour of germany, france and spain. after leaving the glorious german countryside, paris, with all its gray and beige concrete, wasn't as pretty as i'd expected it to be. BUT, i'm partial to country over city, so... the louvre is OVERWHELMING. make sure you give yourself good time for that.

  6. Hi Penny! I love that roll pillow for travel. I need to get one for sure. I hear a lot of bloggers are upset over the SpiderMan movie because of the blog dissing. I am not a SpiderMan kind of gal so I won't see it anyway, but I wuld be curios as to what you think. I m laying low this weekend too. No plans and I love it!! Happy Friday!

  7. Those sneakers are really cute! Thank for sharing... also I never would have thought about a travel roll, but for long flights especially, I can see this being really useful (also my bf suffers terrible back pain so this is great to take for trips!).

Hope you have a great weekend :)

  12. Ah, those Sperry's... now I'm having serious shoe envy -- they're so cute! Does it say something that I didn't even know they were coming out with a new Spiderman?! I think I must live under a rock...

  17. Dang, wrote a long, long comment and presto, voila... GONE.
I've been waffling back and forth to get a pair of Converse or Sperry's but I just can't decide. That or something from the Geox line, you know something that's comfortable but not necessarily a running shoe. Your Friday posts always have me inspired and perhaps I should start a list of things I need/want as the summer closes....

I hope you had a lovely weekend enjoying some downtime and relaxation. I hope you have a great week, Penny! :)
