TBB Asks - February 5, 2018

Happy Monday!  If you're like me, you stayed up a bit past your bedtime last night.  After the big game, I just had to watch This Is Us.  Hopefully I can hit the hay a bit early tonight and not be exhausted all week long!

The bloggers over at The Blended Blog host a link up the first Monday of each month and this month the theme is all about love.  So appropriate with Valentine's Day just around the corner!  I'm joining in on the fun ~

1.  Kisses or Hugs?
Funny, I'm not super big on either.  With the exception of my husband and family, I'm just not a big hug person.  One year a goal of mine was to hug more.  That lasted about a minute before I decided I was really not going to become a hugger.

2.  Candy or Flowers?
Do I have to pick just one?!?  I love when I get flowers at work.  It just brightens my day and all the days after that the flowers are on my desk.  But.....I also love raspberry cream filled chocolates or chocolate covered cherries.  Bottom line, give me either and I'll be happy.

3.  Baking or Cooking?
Cooking.  Even more than the actually act of cooking, I love when we sit down and my guests talk about how good the food tastes.  Or better yet, when they ask for the recipe!

4.  Do you remember your first kiss?
Who forgets their first kiss?!?

5.  Favorite color of roses?
Red.  Guess I'm just a traditionalist.

6.  Conversation Hearts, Yes or No?
Not to eat, but aren't they so fun to play with!  Sending a message out of conversation hearts is the best!

7.  Do you leave love notes?
Definitely.  I love leaving notes in Eric's car seat, pillow or wallet.  I bought a pack of heart shaped Post-In Notes that make it so easy to jot a note and leave it for him.  This is such an easy way to show someone how much you love them!

8.  Do you decorate for Valentine's Day?
Absolutely!  Of course, I don't really need much of an excuse to through decorations around.  I'll be sharing my Valentine's decorations soon.

9.  Red or Pink?
Depends.  I love pink.  But I'm a huge Cardinals baseball fan so red plays a pretty big part in my wardrobe.

10.  Milk, White or Dark Chocolate?
Milk.  Especially if it's wrapped around the above mentioned raspberry cream or cherries!

11.  Do you believe in love at first sight?
Yes I do.  I definitely knew there was something between my husband and I the moment I met him.

12.  Do you give Humorous or Serious Valentine Cards?
Humorous.  A good laugh goes a long way in my book.

13.  Favorite Chick Flick or Romantic Movie?
Pretty Woman with Julia Roberts and Richard Gere.  Even though I've seen it about a million times, if I'm flipping channels and it's on, I'm stopping and watching it!

14.  Stay In or Go Out?
On Valentine's Day I prefer to stay in.  I would rather be cozy at home instead of feeling guilty about taking up a table in a crowded restaurant for too long.  Any other time, the answer would be go out.

Thanks TBB for posing the questions.  It's a fun way to learn more about our fellow blogger friends.

  2. You are the second person I've seen who isn't big on hugs - which is totally ok! Nothing wrong with that. I'm not crazy about the conversation hearts either. And I love Pretty Woman!

  3. I don't remember my first kiss either and getting flowers at work is really special. It seems to bring excitement to the workplace.

  4. I'm not the biggest hugger either; it really just depends on the person/moment. As for chocolate, I will take any of it! I do love milk, but dark and white can be good too. Mmm...I'd love a big box of chocolates right now. haha

  5. I love these questionnaires! That is so sweet that you leave little love notes to your husband. I sometimes leave love notes too. We also text each other little love notes, but I think actually writing a love note is just so sweet.

  8. I love pretty woman too! I love the heart shaped notes. I leave a note in my sons lunch everyday...speaking of which I forgot last night, haha! oops! We've been leaving the kids notes on their doors about why we love them each day, so that counts...or something like that, hehe.

  10. Heart shaped notes would be perfect. I buy cheapie eyeliner pencils just to leave him notes on the mirror after he used my favorite one an smushed it to pieces LOL . I still have notes he wrote me in high school. I haven't seen pretty woman is so long. Now I need to find it! Have a great week Penny!

  11. I love that you found heart shaped post-its; I'm going to look for those and leave a few notes in my hubby's wallet and lunch box. We can all use a little more sweetness in our lives.
