1. National Dress in Blue Day
Colon cancer is one of the top deadliest cancers and today's the day to dress in blue to encourage everyone to learn about the causes of colon cancer and raise awareness. According to National Day Calendar, "Screenings are vital. Colon cancer often has no symptoms until its advanced stages placing its victims at higher risk if they wait until symptoms appear. Screenings are recommended beginning at age 50 and younger if you are high risk.". So wear blue today and schedule those screenings!
2. Hearth & Hand at Target
Are you loving the Chip and Joanna Gaines Hearth & Hand collection at Target as much as I am?!? They just added 100 items and I'm swooning over a few of them. They are sure to sell fast, so get yours early. Here's my favs ~
3. Apollo 11
I drag Eric to see a lot of movies that aren't his first choice, but this one is definitely high on his list! Lucky for me, I want to see it also. Here's the synopsis from Fandango, "A cinematic event 50 years in the making, Apollo 11 features never before seen large format footage of the mission to land on the moon led by commander Neil Armstrong and pilots Buzz Aldrin & Michael Collins. A journey that should only be experienced on the big screen.". This sounds like a great movie to see in an IMAX theater.
4. Green Cheese
St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner so you might want to start stocking up on your green food to celebrate. Hit up your local Aldi's to see the line of limited-edition cheeses. A few of them are even infused with alcohol! Some of the choices are green pesto gouda, green sage derby, aged Irish cheddar, Irish cheddar with Irish beer and Irish cheddar with Irish whiskey.
5. Going to the grocery store....

I didnt know about the new chip & joanna stuff but I did hear about vineyard vines coming and I'm excited about that!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a great movie! I could even take my boys for "school!"
ReplyDeleteHope you've had marvelous spring weather for spring training.
ReplyDeleteMy niece works for Aldi's management but we don't have an Aldi's anywhere near me in El Paso. And I have never even been in one. But what fun to have St. Patrick's themed limited edition cheeses. Look what I am missing out on. And I heard the Aldi's Advent calendars are pretty special, too.
Hadn't heard about Apollo 11. Sounds like something both PC and I would enjoy seeing. So many terrible (IMO) movies out there with horrible violence, language and no creativity. Glad to know there's something worth watching.
