Five on Friday - July 12, 2019

Happy Friday!  Who's ready for the weekend!! I'm excited to share my five with you today, so with no further ado ~

1.  Amazon Prime Day(s)
In case you haven't heard, July 15 and 16 (next Monday and Tuesday) are Amazon Prime Days.  A huge 48 hours of saving!  If you are not a current Amazon Prime member, now would be an excellent time to pick up a 30-day trial membership.  You can do that HERE.  I've got my eye on a water proof Kindle, more smart plugs for our Echo and maybe picking up a few more packing cubes.  What's on your list?

2.  Ed Sheeran No. 6 Collaborations Project
It's here!!  Ed's new CD releases today and hopefully it will be waiting for me when I get home from work.  I pre-ordered it a while ago and imagine it will be playing on repeat all weekend.  The CD is comprised of 15 songs.  He'll be singing along with Justin Bieber on I Don't Care, Travis Scott on Antisocial, and Chris Stapleton and Bruno Mars on BLOW.  Grab your copy HERE.

3.  JFK Jr. and Carolyn's Wedding:  The Lost Tapes
We'll be setting our DVR to capture what TLC is airing at 8:00 pm on Saturday - JFK Jr. and Carolyn's Wedding:  The Lost Tapes.  My love for all things wedding coupled with my obsession over American royalty has me so excited to take a glimpse into what this two hour documentary will be showing us.  It's hard to believe it will be 20 years on July 16 that the couple, along with her sister, crashed into the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Martha's Vineyard.

Are you into making your own popsicles?  Check out this mold from Target.  It makes your popsicles into ring pops!  Each set makes eight pops.  We know the kids would love these, but I'm thinking about some boozy pops for the adults!  Perfect treat for the summer heat.  Click HERE to grab a mold for yourself.

5.  My dream....

Hope your weekend will be wonderful.  We will be enjoying Cinderella under the stars at the Muny tonight.  Dinner at a favorite restaurant we haven't been to in years is planned for Saturday.  We're hoping it's as good as we remember it!  I'm also hoping to make a stop at Eckert's for a little blackberry picking and checking out their new sunflower maze.  See you back next week!

  1. The book Summer of '69 touched on Ted Kennedy's car accident on Martha's Vineyard (on July 18th) but I hadn't realized the Kennedy plane crash was just about the same time of year. Wow! That is kind of a weird family co-incidence.

  5. I have no idea what I'm doing for Prime Day. Every year I get so excited and I just can't focus on what I should get so I miss everything good! Last year though I got a two pack of kids' Kindles and that was an amazing deal and those things have REALLY held up!

  7. We will be at eckerts and the muny was cute! And I'll never forget the plane crash. It happened the day I came home after having knee surgery and that's all that was on TV, including PBS. I had everything memorized.
