Let's Make Cherry Coke Jello

Many of our family gatherings revolve around sitting down and enjoying a meal together.  And many of those meals include Cherry Coke Jello.  This recipe has been a favorite for years and I'm excited to share it with you today!

Here's What You Need
1 can of dark tart cherries
1 can of crushed pineapple
Large box of cherry jello
12 oz. Coke
1 cup of sugar

Here's What You Do
This recipe has to be refrigerated overnight, so remember to start the night before you want to serve it.  :)

Pour the entire can of cherries, juice and all, into a pan.  Add in the cup of sugar and bring to a boil.  Stir periodically to blend.

Next, add in the box of jello and the entire can of crushed pineapple.  Stir to blend, making sure the jello is dissolved.  At this point, turn off the heat.

Add in the 12 ounces of Coke.  The mixture will get a little fizzy and that's just fine.  Give it a final stir and pour it into a pretty bowl.  You know you have a pretty bowl hidden in your pantry someplace that doesn't get used very often.  Pull it out!  This jello dish deserves to be put in a pretty bowl.

Put the bowl in the refrigerator, uncovered, and let the magic of jello do its thing.

The next day you will have a beautiful dish to accompany any meal!  I bet this will soon become one of your family favorites too.
