Let's Make Buffalo Chicken Dip

During football season, we often make a batch of buffalo chicken dip to enjoy during the game.  Also, often I'm searching for the recipe!  I thought today on Thinking Out Loud Thursday I'd share the recipe we use and then I'll also know where I can find it.  😉

There are millions of recipes for buffalo chicken dip out there.  This one that we use is extremely simple and quick to pull together.

Here's What You Need
2 cans of chicken, drained
2 - 8 oz packages of cream cheese
1 cup Ranch dressing
3/4 cup Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 bunch of celery
1 box of chicken-flavored crackers

Here's What You Do
Drain the 2 cans of chicken and empty them into a skillet.  Add in the 3/4 cup Frank's sauce and heat over medium heat.

Stir in the cream cheese and ranch dressing.

Stir until well blended and the mixture is warm.  Mix in 1-1/2 cups of the shredded cheese and stir until the cheese has melted.

Transfer mixture into a small slow cooker and sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top.  Cover and cook on a low setting until hot and bubbly.  This only takes about a half-hour.  We've been known to be a bit impatient with waiting and eating it as soon as it gets transferred to the slow cooker.

Serve with celery and chicken-flavored crackers.  I love stacking the celery on my favorite Nora Fleming small tray and football charm.

This dip has just the right amount of heat for my taste, but if you are someone who loves to sweat when you're eating something spicy you could use Frank's Hot Sauce in place of the Wing Sauce.  Enjoy!
