Five on Friday - October 7, 2022

Fall started showing its colors this week and I'm so excited!  Seeing the trees turn autumn reds, oranges and yellows are one of my favorite things.  I hope we can take a weekend drive to soak it all in.  Speaking of favorite things, here are my five for this week ~

1.  Luckiest Girl Alive
I'm going to be getting cozy on the couch this weekend and watching Luckiest Girl Alive on Netflix. Have you read this bestseller?  I read it last month because I wanted to read the book before the movie came out.   Very intriguing story!  Here's the summary ~
Luckiest Girl Alive centers on Ani FaNelli, a sharp-tongued New Yorker who appears to have it all: a sought-after position at a glossy magazine, a killer wardrobe, and a dream Nantucket wedding on the horizon. But when the director of a crime documentary invites her to tell her side of the shocking incident that took place when she was a teenager at the prestigious Brentley School, Ani is forced to confront a dark truth that threatens to unravel her meticulously crafted life.

2.  Milano Pumpkin Spice Cookies
Okay, all you pumpkin spice lovers - have you tried the Milano Pumpkin Spice cookies?  The Milano cookie is definitely a classic.  Add in the pumpkin spice flavor and you have a sweet indulgence with a fall twist.  They are only here for a limited time, so get them while you can!
3.  Target Deal Days
It's happening right now!  What's happening?  Target Deal Days.  It started on October 6 and is going through October 8.  There are deals on electronics, toys, kitchen appliances, and more.  If you want to get a super head start on your holiday shopping, check out Target Deal Days.  Oh, and just in case you don't find what you want at Target during their deal days, Amazon Prime Days are coming October 11 through October 12.  SO.MANY.DEALS.

Jodi Picoult's newest novel was released on Tuesday.  Going straight on my TBR list!  Here's the summary from Amazon ~
Olivia McAfee knows what it feels like to start over. Her picture-perfect life—living in Boston, married to a brilliant cardiothoracic surgeon, raising their beautiful son, Asher—was upended when her husband revealed a darker side. She never imagined that she would end up back in her sleepy New Hampshire hometown, living in the house she grew up in and taking over her father’s beekeeping business.

Lily Campanello is familiar with do-overs, too. When she and her mom relocate to Adams, New Hampshire, for her final year of high school, they both hope it will be a fresh start.

And for just a short while, these new beginnings are exactly what Olivia and Lily need. Their paths cross when Asher falls for the new girl in school, and Lily can’t help but fall for him, too. With Ash, she feels happy for the first time. Yet at times, she wonders if she can trust him completely. . . .

Then one day, Olivia receives a phone call: Lily is dead, and Asher is being questioned by the police. Olivia is adamant that her son is innocent. But she would be lying if she didn’t acknowledge the flashes of his father’s temper in Ash, and as the case against him unfolds, she realizes he’s hidden more than he’s shared with her.

Mad Honey is a riveting novel of suspense, an unforgettable love story, and a moving and powerful exploration of the secrets we keep and the risks we take in order to become ourselves.

5.  This is me...

And that's my five for this week.  Let the weekend begin!  I'm getting ready for a work trip next week so lots of details to make sure are done this weekend before I head out on Monday.  I'm also seeing Rachel Hollis's live show on Saturday night.  Hoping Eric and I can take some time on Sunday for a drive to look at the fall trees.  Hope you have a great weekend and I'll see you back here next week!
