Thinking Out Loud Thursday

Thursday is here!!  You know what that means -- another Thinking Out Loud Thursday!  Hope you join me and Vanessa at X-tremely V by linking up your favorite post below.

Now, as for what I'm thinking out loud about today -- it's Eric, my dear husband.  Eric celebrated a birthday yesterday and today I'd like to give you a chance to get to know him a little better.  He seriously is one of the nicest people I've ever met.  He is so dedicated to our marriage and our family.

Don't get me wrong, I have my days when he drives me crazy (don't we all have days like that with our husbands!).  But overall, I'm so very blessed to have him in my life.  He is such a supporter of me and any crazy adventure I might happen to be on.  He probably hears, "Eric, can you do me a favor?" about a bazillion times a day.  His answer is always the same -- "What do you need?"  No matter what I rattle off, he's on it.  Yes, I'm spoiled.

As proof of his supportiveness, he has shared every single blog post I've ever published.  Seriously.  Every single one.  Plus he's always available to proof before I hit the publish key.  Oh, and another thing, he is the one typically cleaning up after dinner so I can put my post together.  Yes, I love him!

So, with all that goodness as a background, I thought I'd ask him a few questions and share his answers with you.

If you were in a band, which band would you be in?
Poison

Funny this was Eric's answer.  I remember the first time I got tickets to a Poison concert I had no idea if he would even like them.  I called him at work to tell him I got tickets and said, "Guess what I got tickets to see tonight."  His response was "I have no idea, but I wish it was tickets to Poison."  Just shows we were a match made in heaven.  Just imagine if Eric HAD been in Poison ~ oh my goodness would I really love him then!!!

What's the one thing your mother taught you about life?
Mom always taught me to be honest and treat others like you would want to be treated.

Favorite food of all time?
Dijon Sirloin Tips

This is one of our family's favorites.  Unfortunately, I haven't blogged about them before.  But I typically make them around Christmas time so I'll be sharing them before the end of the year.

What's your favorite post I've written?
I have two favorites - the one about Helen (HERE) and the one about Daisy (HERE).

Honestly, those were two of my favorites also.

Best vacation?
Cancun 2011

This was a great trip because that's when Ian and Kayla got engaged!  We stayed at Ocean Coral & Turquesa in Riviera Maya and went all out for the upgrade privilege package.  Money well spent!  Best part was Kayla said yes and we got to welcome her into our family.

There's a little bit about my guy - Eric.  Hope you had a great birthday!

Now it's your turn.  What are you thinking out loud about today?  Link up and let us know.

  4. Awwwwww :) This was such an incredibly sweet post. Your hubby sounds like quite the catch--I love that you he always asks you what you need (in response to "can you do me a favor?"). So amazing :)

AND HE SHARES EVERY ONE OF YOUR POSTS. Wow, that's something special :) I remember the day when Bryan went ALL THE WAY to the beginning of my blog and read every post... that was when I knew, too.

XOXO and hope you're having a great week!

  7. Two peas in a pod! Funny story, that Ocean resort was on our stops when we went on excursions when we were at Rivera Maya at the Now Jade. It looked interesting! What a small world!

  10. He sounds like an awesome husband. I could relate him with my husband. He is also my main motivation behind starting my blog. He has shared my each and every blog on his social media account and always does proofreading for my posts. You have inspired me to write something about my husband. Thanks for this beautiful post.

  11. I'm always, "Kyle, can you do me a favor?" All the time! How sweet of your husband to do these questions. We're lucky to have husbands like that. His mom had some great advice.
