Five on Friday - December 4, 2015

Let's hear it for Friday!  Honestly, I've been out of town all week for business and I'm sorry to have missed this week at home.  Our house is decorated thanks to my friend Carol coming last Monday, but I haven't had an opportunity to photograph it, or enjoy it yet for that matter.  I'm headed straight from work to Kansas City for the weekend, so it will be Sunday night before I can sit down and soak up all the Christmas cheer around my house.  Believe me, I'm planning on enjoying it to the fullest! Plus I'm missing Eric and it will be great to see him after being away.

But in the meantime, here's my Five on Friday for this week ~

1.  Princess Charlotte's 6-Month Photo
I might be a little bit obsessed with the Royal Family.  Have you seen the latest picture released of the 6 month old Princess Charlotte?  Isn't she so ADORABLE!  For her first solo picture, her mom picked an M&H dress (no, not H&M) that only cost $32.  Go Duchess of Cambridge Kate!  It's going to be fun watching this generation of royals grow up.

2.  The Letters
Have you seen the previews for this one?  This drama that opens today explores the life of Mother Teresa through letters she wrote to her longtime friend and spiritual advisor, Father Celeste van Exem over a nearly 50-year period.  "On September 10, 1946, Mother Teresa, a nun in the Catholic order, was riding on a train when she received what she took as a message from God telling her to assist the poorest of the poor, and to live among them. Committing to this new purpose brought her initially in conflict with the Catholic Church and the Government of India. Undaunted by the obstacles and challenges of her new calling, she rose to become viewed by many as the greatest humanitarian of modern time. THE LETTERS tells the story of how this tiny figure of a woman changed hearts, lives and inspired millions. Though she herself grew to feel an isolation and an abandonment by God, she said she saw God in every human being. Her story is told from the point of view of a Vatican priest charged with the task of investigating acts and events following her death. A Nobel Peace Prize Recipient, she is currently under consideration by the Catholic Church for sainthood."

3.  TrackR Bravo
Are you or someone you know consistently loosing things?  Well, this little gizmo could be for you!  Here's the description from Amazon, "Tired of losing your keys, wallet, or phone? Make misplacing your belongings a thing of the past with TrackR bravo! Attach the coin-sized TrackR bravo to any item - then use the TrackR app to locate it in seconds. Quickly ring a missing wallet around the home or press the button on the TrackR to ring your phone on silent mode. TrackR's Crowd GPS Network enables you to even recover lost or stolen items on a map with GPS updates when another user walks by your missing item."  I thinking this would make a mighty fine Christmas gift for a couple people on my list.     tracking device

Have a wonderful weekend!  As I said above, I'm headed  to Kansas City to help a friend celebrate her birthday.  I'm sure there will be lots to talk about come Monday!  Stop back by to see the details.

  2. My husband could definitely benefit from that little tracking device. Losing things is a daily habit for him.

  3. Ha! That's funny that is Faux Fur Friday. My friday favorites included a faux fur tree skirt I just picked up but I had no idea it had it's own special day today. Also, love that photo of Charlotte and that Kate picked up a budget friendly dress. It makes no sense to buy expensive clothes for small children (even if they are a princess) that will ruin/grow out of them when you blink

  8. Princess Charlotte is a precious little thing; she looks so mature though, very calm and chill looking baby.

I love your suggestion of sending a card to a recovering soldier. That's a very thoughtful thing that I'm sure would go a long, long way. It would mean more than words, I'm sure.

    Have fun in KC! :)
