Before the weekend to-do list gets started, I want to share my five for today ~
1. National Doughnut Day
What a way to celebrate the first Friday in June! National Doughnut Day started in 1917 to celebrate doughnuts and honor the Salvation Army Lassies. The Lassies were the women that served doughnut to soldiers during WWI. Pop in Krispy Kreme for one free donut of any variety today (no purchase necessary) or Dunkin' Donuts for a free classic donut (while supplies last) with any beverage purchase. If you don't want to participate in National Doughnut Day, today is also National Leave Work Early Day. Hope you get to celebrate at least one of these days today!
2. Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman the movie opens today. Here's how Rotten Tomatoes is describing it, "An Amazon princess (Gal Gadot) finds her idyllic life on an island occupied only by female warriors interrupted when a pilot (Chris Pine) crash-lands nearby. After rescuing him, she learns that World War I is engulfing the planet, and vows to use her superpowers to restore peace. Directed by Patty Jenkins (Monster)." I've heard good things and it's on my list to see. I'm pondering how many little girls will be dressed as Wonder Woman this Halloween?!?
3. Jolly Rancher Flavored Pop Tarts
Do you love Jolly Ranchers? Well now you can experience three of their flavors in the form of a Pop Tart! Cherry, Green Apple and Watermelon flavored pop tarts debuted a couple weeks ago and are now available. Have you tried them? I might have to walk slowly past the breakfast pastry section of my grocery store and see if any of them jump in my cart. If you're dying to try them and can't find them in your stores, Amazon is carrying a variety pack of all three flavors. Check it out HERE.
4. Toeless Panty Hose
Every time I get together with my friends, I learn something new. Last weekend, my friend Linda introduced me to toeless panty hose. They are amazing! Her legs looked great with her peep toe shoes. Do you need these in your wardrobe? Click HERE. Now I can wear open-toes shoes before my legs are tan enough to go without hose!
5. Thought of the day....
Hope you have a wonderful weekend! I'm looking forward to sleeping in a bit tomorrow and then getting a ton of stuff done. The list is long folks so wish me luck! We're also having dinner with Ian and Kayla on Saturday - really looking forward to catching up with them. See you back next week!

ReplyDeleteI celebrated donut day! I love donuts, they are simply one of the best foods, lol. I can't wait to see Wonder Woman. And those Pop Tarts sound interesting, Cherry Jolly Ranchers are one of my favorite things, so I might have to try them!

Those panty hose look awesome! I also saw the preview for Wonder Woman, and it didn't really look like what I expected. Not so sure about those Pop Tarts, so I'm anxious to hear about if you try them.

I didn't even celebrate doughnut day :( How sad is that. I'll have to make up for it next time I'm near such yummy goodness.
