Flocked Bunnies: The Cute Collectible Taking Over Spring Decor Trends

Hi there, and welcome to Thinking Out Loud Thursday!  Today, I’m sharing what’s been on my mind lately—and I’d love for you to link up and share your thoughts too. What’s been hopping around in my head this week? Flocked bunnies!

Last year, flocked bunnies were everywhere—and I couldn’t resist hopping on the trend! I grabbed a couple back then, but this year? My collection has definitely grown. Between Michael’s, Five Below, Hobby Lobby, and Walmart, I’ve found myself leaving each store with a bag (or two) full of these fuzzy little cuties. Want to see where they’ve popped up around my home this season? Take a look below!

Out on the front porch, I’ve got two big flocked bunnies making a statement! To keep them from toppling over, we cut a small slit in the bottom of each and inserted a long stick. Then, we anchored the sticks down into our planter—and it worked like a charm. Even on the windiest days, they’ve stayed perfectly in place!

In the family room, our coffee table tray is now home to an entire family of flocked bunnies! They add the perfect pop of texture and whimsy to the space, and I love how they instantly make the room feel more festive and fun.

Even the kitchen window got in on the fun!

I tucked a flocked bunny there, and to complete the look, I added a cute flocked egg alongside it. It’s a small detail, but it brings a sweet touch of spring to one of my favorite everyday spaces.

I'm hoping the stores will have some left after Easter and I can scoop up even more of them for next year!

2024 Easter Mantel and Tray

Thanks for stopping by Thinking Out Loud Thursday where I talk about something I'm thinking about and invite you to link up and do the same.  Today I'm thinking about our Easter mantel and tray!

With Easter just a few days away, I thought I better share our mantel and tray.  We went super simple this year on the mantel.  Nothing on the mantel was new, but we had never used these things together before.

The rabbits are nestled into the spring flowers embodying the spirit of Easter joy.

A few years ago I found the wooden egg Easter banner and have used it someplace every year since.  This year it found its' way to the mantel.

The flocked rabbits were so popular this year and I couldn't resist getting a few.  They are sitting on the tray we sit on our coffee table.

I'm hoping to find a few more flocked bunnies after Easter on massive sale.  I'd love to decorate the whole mantel with them next year!  Happy Easter everyone!

Easter Tiered Tray - 2024

Thanks for stopping by Thinking Out Loud Thursday!  This is a time when I share something I'm thinking out loud about and invite you to link up and do the same.  Today I'm thinking about our Easter tiered tray!

St. Patrick's Day and Easter were so close together this year, I decided to pass right over getting out all the shamrocks and leprechauns and jump right into bunnies and eggs!  As a matter of fact, I didn't even take away all the items I had used for the Valentine's tiered tray.  When we were transitioning the window into an Easter theme, we were in a hurry which helped us make the decision to leave a few things like the candleholders and just work around them.

Bunnies landed on every tier of the tray.  Each layer of the tray is adorned with some bunnies, eggs, and carrots.

In the center of our window, we placed our large Every Bunny Welcome and added a couple cute little bunnies in front of it.

The flowers tucked in are a wonderful reminder that Spring is here!

Spring, like Easter, brings a sense of renewal, as nature awakens from its winter slumber.  The days are growing longer and warmer.  It's such a beautiful time of year, filled with the promise of new beginnings and growth.

2023 Easter Mantel

Happy Thursday friends!  Thanks for popping into Thinking Out Loud Thursday where I share something I'm thinking about and invite you to link up and do the same.  Today I'm sharing our Easter Mantel.

You might have seen my post where I shared our Easter tiered tray in the kitchen earlier this week.  While I had the tubs of Easter decorations out, it was the perfect time to get the mantel decorated too!

We kept it super simple this year.  On one side of the mantel sits a moss-covered basket holding two stuffed bunnies.

I tucked a flower arrangement close to the basket.  The spring-colored flowers just remind me of Easter.

I'm such a symmetric person - if there's a flower arrangement on one side, I feel there needs to be a flower arrangement on the other side too.  Luck for me, I happen to have two of these arrangements.

The Easter egg banner rounds out the mantel by spreading out right across the center.  These are the same ones I used in past years on the tiered tray.

The Easter decorating is done for the year and we are ready for the Easter bunny to arrive!  Are you ready at your house?

2023 Easter Tiered Tray

With St. Patrick's Day behind us, we quickly switched our tiered tray decorations over to Easter.  The bunnies and spring flowers came out and filled our kitchen window!

The bunnies covered in moss have really become one of my favorites recently.  I had several in my Easter decorations collection and picked up a couple new ones at Target.  Each of the three layers of the tiered tray has a moss-covered bunny.

The big bunny in the middle has made appearances all over our house, but this year he's taking center stage in the window.

Eric gave me a beautiful fresh flower bouquet for Valentine's Day with hydrangeas and tulips.  After the fresh flowers had died, I tried to replicate them with silk.  The tulips came from Amazon and I love them!

Another new item added this year to our Easter decorations was the Every Bunny Welcome sign I picked up at Michael's.  I had planned on picking up a few other new things, but everything seemed to sell out really quickly this year.  Lesson learned.  Next year I'm going to grab stuff the second I see it in the stores!

This is our view of the kitchen window for the next couple of weeks!  When I look at it, it makes me think of spring and that definitely puts a smile on my face!

Thinking Out Loud Thursday - April 14, 2022

Welcome to Thinking Out Loud Thursday where I talk about something on my mind and invite you to link up and do the same.

Today I'm thinking about Easter.  For a multitude of reasons, I haven't had the time to get out a single bunny or egg to decorate.  (I've promised myself that next year I'll do better at getting the decorations out.)  But Easter isn't about the decorations or the bunnies or the eggs.  For Christians, it's about Christ dying on the cross, being buried, and three days later rising to life again.

Today we celebrate Maundy Thursday.  You might have heard it called Holy Thursday or Sheer Thursday.  It's the Thursday before Easter and is a Christian holy day that commemorates the Washing of the Feet and the Last Supper.  Pretty major events!

Easter offers us comfort in knowing that love is stronger than death.  It was out of love that God gave His only Son.  It was for love that Christ died on the cross.  Easter means there is hope for us, and I think right now we can all use a little hope.  As Jesus said, “Because I live, you also will live” (John 14:19).

In the coming days, it will be easy to get caught up in the Easter egg hunts and chocolate bunnies.  I hope we can take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of the day and may your Easter be full of love and hope.

Hippity Hoppity…Easter's On Its Way!

Did Easter sneak up on anyone else this year?  I barely got my decorations out in time to share before the holiday!  Today for Thinking Out Loud Thursday I'm sharing a tour around the house of our Easter decor.  Let's start in the family room ~

The mantle is something I love to decorate with different themes.  For Easter this year, I pulled out some spring flowers and added a bunny.

If you look close, you'll see the apothecary jar is filled with Easter eggs.

The flowers just scream spring!  After Easter, I might lose the bunny and eggs and leave everything else out for a while.

There's a bunny resting in the tray on our coffee table ~

In our guest bathroom, we have a frame on the sink.  I always try to make sure the picture inside reflects the theme of the season.

Our three-tier stand sits in the kitchen window and is a wonderful focal point for the room.  I've had so much fun decorating this area!  Here's what it looks like right now ~
