  4. I could get lost reading quotes all day long! They really are great for inspiring thought and motivating me. In fact, that is exactly what inspired my word of the year...a quote from Brene Brown! Happy Thursday Penny.

  6. I adore each and everyone of your quotes! That last one is by the best because its easier than being mean and I will never understand how others don't get that. Being mean takes way too much energy.

    Thank you!

  8. Thanks for the link-up opportunity! Lately, since I've been a bit overwhelmed, I've been thinking about this quote. It's helping me see I can't tackle everything RIGHT NOW:
Do what is in front of you to do.

  10. I LOVE these quotes. I agree so much about letting stuff go. What happened yesterday is done and over, but we can make today a good one!

  11. I love all of these quotes. Here something that I believe in as a story that former HOFer Coach Chuck Noll told his team in 1974 about letting go: “Let me tell you a story about two monks who are on a journey. Some time during their journey they stop at a clearing, and in the clearing is a stream, and they stop at the stream. On the one side of the stream is a fair maiden trying to cross. And the first monk, without any hesitation, crosses that stream, picks up the fair maiden and carries her across and sets her down. The two monks carry on in silence. Sometime later on their journey they stop at another clearing. The second monk says to the first, ‘You picked up that maiden. Do you know it’s against our beliefs and our religion to come in contact and touch a person of the opposite sex?’ The first says, ‘I set her down back there, but you carried her all the way here.’"

Whenever I am holding on to something, I think about that story.

Thanks for hosting and have a wonderful Thursday.

  12. These are such great quotes. I shared a quote on my IG yesterday that said "For every minute you are angry, you lose 60 seconds of happiness" and I just love that.

  13. "Be somebody who makes everybody feel like a somebody".
    LOVE that quote.

  14. I love the one by the Dalai Lama. We really do become wiser when we listen. Thanks for these, Penny! A recent discovery of mine is this by Woody Allen: 80% of life is showing up. :-)
