Let's Make An Orange Bundt Cake

Get ready guys - I'm sharing a great recipe with you today!  At Kelsey's graduation, she requested her mom, Linda, make their family recipe bundt cakes for dessert.  Great request Kelsey!!  At the graduation party, you could choose either lemon or orange.  Having never had an orange bundt, I decided I'd give that one a try.

As I raised my first bite to my mouth, the scent of orange hit my nose and immediately made my mouth water.  Thank goodness Linda doesn't mind sharing recipes because this was one I had to have!  And now I'd like to share it (along with all of Linda's secret tips) with you ~

Here's What You Need
For the Bundt
Orange Supreme Cake Mix
4 eggs
1 cup of water (I'll share a secret about this below)
1/2 cup Crisco Oil
1 box Lemon Pudding

For the Icing
Orange Juice Concentrate (thawed)
Powered Sugar

Here's What You Do:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.  Put some of your orange juice concentrate in a small bowl to begin thawing.

Dump in a bowl the cake mix, 4 eggs, 1/2 cup Crisco oil, and the packet of Jello.  For the 1 cup of water, juice one orange and make up the rest of the cup with water.  Pour it on in the bowl.

If you want your bundt to have a little extra kick of orange flavor, throw in some orange zest.

Mix your ingredients until well blended, about 2 minutes.  Pour into a well-greased bundt pan and pop it in your preheated oven for 45-55 minutes.

When it's finished baking, let it cool for 5 minutes in the pan before turning it onto a cooling rack where you should let it cool completely.  At this point, your house will smell so yummy!

Now is a good time to make the drizzle.  Whisk together your thawed orange juice concentrate with the powered sugar.  When your cake is completed cooled, drizzle it all over that bad boy.

This cake is full of flavor and super moist.  You are going to love it!  Now that I've had the orange flavor, I'm excited to try the lemon version by substituting the orange cake mix for lemon (with lemon zest added to the cake) and using lemon juice in the drizzle instead of orange.

Enjoy!!
