Another thing I love to have in the car with me is our car adapter. This little beauty gives us the power to plug in all our gadgets while in the car. I've already confessed I'm horrible in the car. I need constant stimulation and working on my computer or reading my Kindle does seem to help. If any of my devices start getting low on power, you can just plug this adapter into the charger and plug in your stuff. Nothing goes dead! Wonderful invention!
Unfortunately, reading or working on the computer does make me a little car sick. So, Bonine to the rescue. This little chewable tablet doesn't make me drowsy and allows me to read or check emails without getting sick. Thank goodness a friend recommended this to me!
So, if you throw these things in the car with me, along with some fabulous snacks and a tote full of magazines, I'm not

ReplyDeleteThat table talk game sounds awesome. We were on a long road trip a few weeks ago and I would have loved to have had that with me.
ReplyDeleteNew Orleans is one of my favorite cities! I love all the culture and energy, and of course the food :) It's been awhile since I've taken a road trip more than a few hours, but I always need good music, tons of water, and some kind of car sickness remedy. I like the idea of bringing a game like Table Topics- we have a dinner game we use sometimes with a similar concept and we all love it!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I need to get all of those things for our road trips! Every summer we do a road trip that consists of at least 20 hours of driving one way. We need that Table Talk for sure, and the car adapter and motion sickness meds would come in VERY handy as well!
ReplyDeleteI visited New Orleans about twenty years ago, after I graduated high school. I loved it and want to go back. I can relate to your car sickness problem, except I get more than a little car sick. :) If I even read a map, I'm sick! Makes for boring long trips.
ReplyDeleteTable Topics looks like a fun activity in the car! I will have to look into purchasing for my next road trip. Have fun in New Orleans!
ReplyDeleteI would love to visit New Orleans and even though I am always anxious about the arrival I do try and enjoy the trip. I love what you have packed for your adventure. I need one of those car adapters.
ReplyDeleteHave fun! I can't remember, have you said you've been/never been to Nola? I highly recommend a Pat O'Brien's hurricane and Cafe DuMonde for tons of goodies!
ReplyDeleteThe last time we went on a road trip we had trivia game cards with us. Made the trip fly. Will definitely have to get this Table Topics game before our next one.
ReplyDeleteI love road trips. My husband and I always enjoy a lot of uninterrupted conversation on road trips. We went to New Orleans a few years ago, there is much to see there! My favorite place to visit was the really old cemetery.
ReplyDeleteI need that car adapter!!
Have a fun trip!! The conversation game sounds amazing and would be perfect to avoid awkward silence in the car!
ReplyDeleteSince I'm usually the one driving about the only thing that keeps me going is the radio on the oldies station ONLY. If there are others with me I let them do most of the talking!! I hope you have a great time and relax!!
ReplyDeleteI need to pick up the table topics, we have a 10 hour road trip coming up this summer. Snacks and music are on my road trip must haves.
ReplyDeleteMy husband's name is Eric too! :) That charger is awesome! Totally going to have to get that before our next road trip. That question game sounds fun too, that would be great for around the dinner table with my family. I hope you have a wonderful trip
ReplyDeleteI am originally from a town in Mississippi and we would travel over to LA all the time. I love New Orleans.
ReplyDeleteThose are great picks. I like the charger idea .It is so convenient and reading makes me car sick too
ReplyDeleteI've been to the States a couple of times but never to New Orleans. Thanks for the tips! Calling by from This is How We Roll Link party
ReplyDeleteRoad trips are always the best but they can get pretty long sometimes.... That game sounds like a pretty great way to kill time!
ReplyDeleteI love road trips! Table topics is the BEST! So much fun and makes for some fabulous conversation starters!
