My thoughts for this Thursday are on Fall, and when I think of Fall my thoughts linger to the fresh start of the school year. It's been a l-o-n-g time since I started a year of school! When the summer interns from work start leaving to return to their universities, it makes me reminisce of my college days and how much fun it was to see everyone after the summer break. It also makes to think about sorority rush and bid days.
I was an Alpha Xi Delta and being in a sorority was one of the best things about my college experience. Bid Day was always such a cool day. After the long process of selections, you finally got to see who would join your sisterhood. There was a feeling of exuberance when you saw your favorite pledge walk through your door and also a bit of sadness when you realized one of your favorites decided to join another sorority (how could they!?!?).

One thing that made being an Alpha Xi so special for me was my best friend from back home, Linda, decided to join the same sorority. We had decided when we were going through rush that we would pick our sororities independently from each other. When we found out we were both going to be Alpha Xi's, we were ELATED!
The above picture is of me and Linda with our pledge moms. The below is a picture of us almost 30 years later. Proof positive that you can form friends for lifetime in sororities. Oh my, the memories of hanging out studying, partying networking, and being influenced by a fabulous group of women! Definitely good times!
I'm thinking of selling this type of note card on Etsy. What do you think? Would anyone be interested in purchasing them?
So that's my thoughts for this Thursday. Hey -- another thought -- don't forget about the giveaway I'm participating in this month. Here's the skinny on entering:
