1. Teavana Perfec Tea Maker
Recently I was in search of a good steeper for my hot tea and swung by the Teavana store at my nearby mall. Fell in love with this baby! It makes brewing your perfect cup of hot tea a breeze. You just add the tea and hot water, let it set for a few minutes steeping, then put the tea maker on your favorite mug. The tea drains out the bottom right into your cup, leaving all the tea leaves in the tea maker. I got the one that makes 16 ounces. There's also a larger one (Teavana Perfec Tea Maker II) that brews up 32 ounces. If you know someone who loves hot tea, this could make a great birthday or Christmas gift!

In the spirit of Fall and all things pumpkin, have you tried the Godiva Pumpkin Trufflelata? Oh.My.Goodness!! From the moment the cold mixture hits your tongue, you will be in love with this concoction. I don't know what kind of magic dust is mixed in, but it's heavenly. I have a feeling the barista working at our local Godiva store might know me by name by the end of the season.
3. TOMS 'Desert-Cheetah' Wedge Bootie
I've already bought one new pair of TOMS wedge booties this year, but look how adorable these are. A girl needs her boots! How many outfits would these put over the top?!? The pair of wedge booties I do have are so comfortable and I would imagine these would be the same. These are definitely on my wish list!

Check these out -- heat-safe silicone light bulb covers. They cover your CFL or LED light bulbs and change the color of light the bulb casts. Wouldn't these orange ones be cool to use for Halloween?!? They come in a rainbow of colors so think of the lighting possibilities for holidays, birthday parties or any special event. When you want the light to go back to normal, just remove the cover and store it until the next time you want to use them. So cool!
5. So it begins....
This weekend my friend Mary is visiting and we are going to begin the journey of making some sense of my closet. We're also planning to attend the St. Louis Vintage Market Days. I haven't attended before so I'm pumped to see what it's all about. And, of course, we'll be rooting on our St. Louis Cardinals in the playoffs!! Fun times ahead! Hope you are planning some fun stuff this weekend too!

I love that quote. I will have to pin that for remembrance of when I want to get lazy and do nothing. Which is right. about. now. These little ones who are staying with me get up early and even though I am an early riser, I like my "ME" time. Without little ones in my face! I do love them though. Enjoy your visit with your friend.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving that quote as well. No time better than now than to simply get things done!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend Penny. xo

Oh my goodness, that Godiva Pumpkin Trufflelata looks amazing!! We don't have a Godiva in our area, but will be at Disney World later this month so I think I just found a reason to pop into the one at Disney Springs! lol :) Thanks for sharing!! I love that quote. Half the battle with so many things in life is to just start - take the first step. I've found that momentum usually takes over - in decluttering, fitness, waking up early! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love that quote, it's beautifully done! And woo hoo for Teavana tea. I loved the tea you sent me. I have the Breville Teamaker, which is... well it's incredible. I use it every day!
ReplyDeleteI love your picks for Five on Friday! The tea maker is genius, the Godiva treat looks delicious, I want those shoes asap! And I am already planning out in my head all the things I can use those light bulb covers for!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite are the colored silicone light covers. Very cool! I am going to have to look into those. They would make things more festive during holidays. Thanks for sharing.

The quote is my favorite. I have been working a lot on just doing my own thing recently, so I connect with it. The light bulb covers are neat, too. I bet they would make do a romantic evening, in the right color, or a cool kids room accessory for a sleep over.
ReplyDeleteI am intrigued by the trufflelata! :)
