Five on Friday - January 8, 2016

Hello everybody!  We've made it through the first week of 2016.  How did that go for you?  Oh my, was it hard to get up on Monday morning and head to work.  But we've made it to Friday!!

With no further ado, here's my first Five on Friday for the year ~

Is saving money on your New Year's resolution list?  Well, here's an easy thing for you to do to save some dough.  These were on my Christmas list and I was lucky enough to get them.  Tried them out and fell in love!  You use these in place of dryer sheets or liquid fabric softeners.  If you want to add a drop of essential oil for fragrance you can.  They also shorten your drying time.  So between not buying dryer sheets AND not running your dryer for as long, cha ching!  They last for a thousand-plus loads!  You can purchase yours by clicking HERE.

2.  Toms Leila Ankle Bootie
My friend Debbie wore these precious ankle booties to my Bachelor Ben party on Monday and I now have serious boot envy.  I really think I must own them!  The little tassel in the back is just too adorable.  It's okay for friends to have the same pair of shoes, isn't it?!?

3.  Golden Globe Awards
You know where I’ll be on Sunday night – planted on the couch watching the Golden Globe Awards!  I’m so excited that Ricky Gervais is hosting.  He is HILAROUS!  Did you happen to catch him on Ellen this week?  Too funny.  Have you seen all of the movies nominated?  I certainly haven’t!  Regardless, I’m pumped to watch the show and see who the winners are.

4.  National Bubble Bath Day
Bust out the bubble bath – today’s National Bubble Bath Day!  If you’re a bath person, celebrate today by soaking in a relaxing tub tonight.  The bubbles floating on top of the water actually serve a purpose – they insulate the bath water to keep it warmer for a longer period of time.  Who knew?!?  So pour yourself a glass of wine, dim the lights, light a candle and take yourself a nice long dip in the tub.

  1. Enjoyed! Love, love the boots. I still am looking for a pair I like. It will be summer before I find them. Book club, that too I have to find. What are you all reading?

    1. I'm in two books clubs. The one that is meeting on Sunday is very relaxed. We read whatever book we want and then share it with the group. The other book club is reading Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer. I'll be reading a lot this weekend because I have to finish it by next Tuesday.

  4. Love those boots! I'm working on losing weight (ongoing struggle!) and my splurge this month, if I'm good, is a new pair of Toms. They're my fav. Hooray for National Bubble Bath Day! I know what I'm going tonight! :)

  10. I'm not too into awards shows, but given that this pet sitting weekend is a bit of a quiet one, I'll check it out.
