Welcome to the holiday weekend!! The company I work for gave us this Friday as a holiday and I absolutely love getting a day off during the week -- and it's even better when it's a FRIDAY!! I've got a lot of stuff I'm planning on doing this weekend. My list probably far exceeds what I'll actually get done. But a girl can dream, can't she?!? Mainly I'm hoping to do some serious relaxing. Surely I can get that accomplished. :)
Before we kick off this three day weekend, here's my five for this week:
1. Rocksbox
Are you a jewelry lover? Well, if you answered yes - have you heard of Rocksbox? Rocksbox gives you unlimited access to rent from an ever-rotating closet of designed jewelry. For $19 a month, you get three pieces of jewelry to wear for as long as you like. When you're finished with the pieces, mail them back at Rocksbox expense and they'll send you three new pieces. Just because I like you, use pennybff15 to get one month FREE. Come on, give it a try!
2. Charlotte Elizabeth Diana
Can't wait to see the pictures of this little princess's christening! Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge (or you might know her as Charlotte Elizabeth Diana) is being christened on Sunday at St. Mary Magdelene Church at the Queen's Sandringham estate in Norfolk. Did you get your invitation? I think mine must have gotten lost in the mail. Wonder how long it will take her gown to be completely sold out?
3. Go Set a Watchman: A Novel
Get ready -- Harper Lee's new book is being released on July 14. I thought I'd remind you a little early in case you wanted to read To Kill A Mockingbird again before this new book was available. Here's what Amazon has to say about this new book:
An historic literary event: the publication of a newly discovered novel, the earliest known work from Harper Lee, the beloved, bestselling author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning classic, To Kill a Mockingbird.
Originally written in the mid-1950s, Go Set a Watchman was the novel Harper Lee first submitted to her publishers before To Kill a Mockingbird. Assumed to have been lost, the manuscript was discovered in late 2014.
Go Set a Watchman features many of the characters from To Kill a Mockingbird some twenty years later. Returning home to Maycomb to visit her father, Jean Louise Finch—Scout—struggles with issues both personal and political, involving Atticus, society, and the small Alabama town that shaped her.
Exploring how the characters from To Kill a Mockingbird are adjusting to the turbulent events transforming mid-1950s America, Go Set a Watchman casts a fascinating new light on Harper Lee’s enduring classic. Moving, funny and compelling, it stands as a magnificent novel in its own right.

4. Sky Map App
If you're sitting outside this weekend watching fireworks, camping or just star gazing you should check out the free Sky Map app. Point your iPhone or iPad toward the sky and the Sky Map app will let you know exactly what you are looking at. It displays stars, planets, moon phases, constellations, messier objects and meteor showers. Makes looking at the stars pretty fun!
5. Food for Thought...
Have a fantastic weekend everyone! We are going to be enjoying an outdoor concert and some amazing fireworks. I might slip in some barbecue too. Hope you stop by on Monday to see the recap.
