Recent Amazon Purchases - Disney Edition

Hi there! Today I’m giving you a peek at a few of the Amazon deliveries that arrived for our Disney trip.

Let’s kick things off with Bonine. Honestly, this little bottle is a total lifesaver for me. Without it, the trip just wouldn’t be nearly as enjoyable. These tablets completely take away any motion sickness I might get from traveling or hopping on rides, and the best part is they don’t leave me feeling drowsy. It’s like having a bit of magic in pill form that keeps me feeling great the whole time!

Next up are these adorable Disney Hair Bows!  My niece has really long hair and I can't wait to put it up in ponytails and clip on these bows.  The pack comes with 4 different colors.  Every outfit I'm taking for her is covered!

The night before we left, I painted my and my niece's nails.  Then I popped on some of these Cartoon Nail Art stickers!  It was super easy and our nails look adorable!  The packages comes with a ton of stickers.

We will be getting the refillable mugs at our resort and I'll be able to keep them clean with these Camp Soap for Dishes and Hands.  The package is small so they fit perfectly in our tight suitcases.

I blogged about these a couple weeks ago in one of my Five on Friday posts.  I feel so much safety having these Kids Shoes Air Tag Holders on the kids shoes!

I'm so excited that our Disney adventure is finally happening! I just know it’s going to be filled with so many fun moments, new memories, and probably a few surprises along the way. I can’t wait to come back and share all the details with you—the highlights of the trip, the little tips and tricks we picked up, and of course, all the magical experiences that made it extra special. Stay tuned, because I’ll have plenty to tell once we return!

Recent Prime Purchases (June 2025)

Happy Monday! I’m excited to join Doused in Pink and Living on Cloud Nine to showcase a few recent Amazon purchases.

My son and I took a trip with our friends and they introduced us to a fun new name - Elimino!  I ordered one immediately and it was waiting for us when we arrived home.  It's small enough to go in our travel bag, so we'll be playing this on all our upcoming vacations too!

Another addition to our travel bag was the new set of scorepads for Qwixx. They put a fresh twist on the classic game and make it even more fun. It’s a fantastic variation on one of our longtime favorites.

I bought this shirt in two different colors and have been wearing them on repeat so far this summer!  Yellow and pink were the colors I ordered and I'm seriously thinking about adding a few more to my wardrobe.  They wash up like a dream and are very comfortable.

This cute dress is what I ordered for the Fourth of July.  It's adorable!  The quality is great and it even has pockets!  I'm looking forward to wearing it again when we go out to dinner or meet friends at happy hour.  It comes in a couple of patterns also.

We picked up this 5-tier tote rack for our basement, and it didn’t take long to fill all five totes! I’m seriously considering getting a second one.  It will feel so great to finally get our holiday decorations organized!

Get ready - Prime Days are July 8-11.  I can't wait to see what bargains are available!

Things I've Bought on Amazon Lately

It has been a hot minute since I shared some of my Amazon purchases.  I thought it was time for an update ~

Where are my organizational fans out there?  This little label maker is the bomb!  It runs off of an app on your phone that provides over 600 templates.  There are also many fonts to choose from!  I've been labeling everything in my sight and love it!  It would be an awesome gift for that student in your life.

We needed a new rug for the front porch and this orange and white buffalo plaid was just what I was looking for for fall!  I'll share a picture of our front porch later.  If you're looking for an addition to your porch, this could be the rug for you.

Halloween tablescapes are so fun and these new placemats are going to fit in perfectly!  Again, I'll be sharing pictures of my table soon.  You'll notice these placemats adding cuteness.

A few years ago I decided to change all my hangers to the same ones.  It turned out that was an awesome decision!  I needed to add more to my collection so I purchased a new pack of 50.  That should keep me in business for a while!

My T-shirts were in desperate need of organization. These storage boxes have been working great! I filled one with my short-sleeved T-shirts and one with long-sleeved T-shirts.  Then I decided to re-order so I'd have a place for my leggings and tights.

Don't you just love a good Amazon purchase!  What are some items you've purchased from Amazon lately that you love?

Five on Friday - July 7, 2023

Is it Friday?  With the holiday in the middle of the week, I honestly haven't known what day it is all week!  But the calendar declares it to indeed be Friday, so here's my five for this week ~

1.  World Chocolate Day
Happy World Chocolate Day!  I know this is a day many of you can get behind and happily celebrate.  Bust out all the chocolate and enjoy your day.  Indulge on your favorite chocolates!  Will you be having milk or dark chocolate?  Hot chocolate?  Or your favorite treat smothered in a chocolate sauce?  Whatever your preference is, eat it guilt-free today as you celebrate the day set aside for all things chocolate.

Beatriz Williams has a new book out and it sounds pretty darn good.  It promises "suspense, romance, and glorious, beach-laden locales".  Sounds like a book I should add to my TBR list!  Here's the summary ~
June 1946. As the residents of Winthrop Island prepare for the first summer season after the sacrifice of war, a glamorous new figure moves into the guest cottage at Summerly, the idyllic seaside estate of the wealthy Peabody family. To Emilia Winthrop, daughter of Summerly’s year-round caretaker and a descendant of the island’s settlers, Olive Rainsford opens a window into a world of shining possibility. While Emilia spent the war years caring for her incapacitated mother, Olive traveled the world, married fascinating men, and involved herself in political causes. She’s also the beloved aunt of the two surviving Peabody sons, Amory and Shep, with whom Emilia has a tangled romantic history.

As the summer wears on, Emilia develops a deep rapport with Olive, who urges her to leave the island for a life of adventure, while romance blossoms with the sturdy and honorable Shep. But the heady promise of Peabody patronage is blown apart by the arrival of Sumner Fox, an FBI agent who demands Emilia’s help to capture a Soviet agent who’s transmitting vital intelligence on the West’s atomic weapon program from somewhere inside the Summerly estate.

April 1954. Eight years later, Summerly is boarded up and Emilia has rebuilt her shattered life as a professor at Wellesley College, when shocking news arrives from Washington—the traitor she helped convict is about to be swapped for an American spy imprisoned in the Soviet Union, but with a mysterious condition only Emilia can fulfill. A reluctant Emilia is summoned to CIA headquarters, where she’s forced to confront the harrowing consequences of her actions that fateful summer, and a choice that could destroy the Peabody family—and Emilia’s chance for redemption—all over again.

I sprung for a new dress this week from Amazon.  When I wore it to work, the compliments rolled in so I deemed it blogworthy.  This dress is lightweight and would be perfect to pop in your suitcase for work or personal travel.  The material remained wrinkle-free all day too!  Check out all the patterns it comes in HERE.  I'm seriously thinking about ordering another one.

4.  The Lincoln Lawyer
We loved the first season of The Lincoln Lawyer and are excited to see what Season 2 brings.  Part 1 of Season 2 started yesterday and there are 5 episodes just sitting out there for us to watch.  There might be some binge-watching in my near future!   Haven't heard anything about this Netflix show?  Here's the synopsis ~
The Lincoln Lawyer is an American legal drama television series created for television by David E. Kelley and developed by Ted Humphrey, based on the books of Michael Connelly.[1] It stars Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Mickey Haller, a defense attorney in Los Angeles who works out of a chauffeur-driven Lincoln Navigator rather than an office. Neve Campbell, Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, Angus Sampson, and Christopher Gorham also star.

The first season is based on Connelly's 2008 novel The Brass Verdict, a sequel to his novel The Lincoln Lawyer. It premiered on Netflix on May 13, 2022. It received generally positive reviews from critics. In June 2022, the series was renewed for a second season. It is based upon Connelly's 2011 novel, The Fifth Witness (the fourth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series), and will stream in two parts. The first part was released on July 6, 2023, and the second will be released on August 3.

5.  Anybody else have this problem...

Enjoy the weekend!  If the rain stays away, we're going to my home town to watch fireworks this weekend.  The rest of the weekend is up for grabs.  Amazon Prime Days is next week so I hope to have a minute to get my wishlist together.  See you next week!

Recent Amazon Purchases

The Amazon driver was making stops at our house pretty much on a daily basis in late November and December.  Today on Thinking Out Loud Thursday I'm doing a little reflecting on some of my favorite purchases from those stops.

1     2     3     4     5

This beautiful cookbook was a gift for a friend and I really wish I would have gotten one for myself also.  Here's the description from Amazon ~
A love letter to one of the oldest, most richly varied food cultures of Europe.

Sicily is a frugal peasant land with a simple cuisine, and yet full of ornate glamour and extravagance. Ben Tish unlocks the secrets of Sicily's culture and food within these pages, diving into its diverse tapestry of cultural influences.

Sitting at the heart of the Mediterranean, between east and west, Europe and North Africa, the food of Sicily is full of citrus, almonds and a plethora of spices, mixing harmoniously with the simple indigenous olives, vines and wheat. You'll find the most delicious, fresh seafood on the coast and mouth-watering meat in land; but the two rarely mix.

Packed full of vibrant flavors, this beautiful collection brings the food of Sicily to your table, with recipes ranging from delicious morsels and fritters to big couscous, rice and pasta dishes and an abundance of granitas, ice creams and desserts, all stunningly photographed. Recipes include: smoky artichokes with lemon and garlic, roasted pork belly with fennel and sticky quinces, bitter chocolate torte, and Limoncello semifredo.

Dive in and experience this unique culinary heritage for yourself, bring the sights and sounds and aromas of Sicily to your home.

Road trips can get long and boring, but if you whip out these Road Trip Table Topics you'll have things to talk about for hours!  We gifted this to a friend of ours who just retired and was headed out on a long road trip to celebrate.  I hope they are enjoying them!  Before our next trip out, I want a set for our car.

We gifted Yeti can insulators for our son and daughter-in-law.  I had gotten Eric one earlier in the year and he loved it so much we decided it was gift-worthy.  Summer will be here before we know it and these will be perfect to have around the pool.

Reuseable Ice Pack
Somehow, all of our reuseable ice packs were displaced.  We take them places and accidentally leave them in freezers.  I reloaded our supply with this 4 pack.  They are thin, which makes them perfect for smaller coolers.  The minute I opened the package I wrote our name on them so hopefully, when we leave them, they will find their way back to us.

I'm always on the hunt for something unique to give my dad.  We gifted him this organic mushroom grow kit for Christmas and I'm excited to see how it grows.  Apparently, the mushrooms are ready to eat after only 10 days of growing.  My guess is my dad is going to love watching them grow, but what he'll really love is sharing the experience with his grandkids as they watch the mushrooms develop.  Pretty fun winter project!

October 2021 Amazon Purchases

Welcome to Thinking Out Loud Thursday!  I'm going to share something I'm thinking about and invite you to link up and do the same.  Today I'm thinking about all the Amazon purchases I made in October and want to share a few of the best ones with you.

Looking back, I made some really random impulse purchases.  Luckily for me, they all turned out great. The rain shoes and gloves were purchases I made while I was in Austin for work and was flying directly from there to Cleveland.  They had added rain and cooler temps in the forecast for Cleveland after I had already left home and was in Austin, so I decided to purchase the rain shoes and gloves.  I had them shipped straight to my hotel in Cleveland and they were waiting for me when I arrived.

October was full of travel for me, so I knew I'd be wearing masks a lot.  This pack of three solids was a great addition to my already too large collection of masks.  At the beginning of the pandemic, I was determined to not try to match my masks with my outfits.  That went out the window at about month two!  These are a good price and they are very comfortable.

The other fashion finds were winners, especially for the price!  I'm loving the shoes.  The top comes in 25 different colors.  It's been the perfect blouse to wear under sweaters!  The belts are great too.

With all the threats of shortages for Christmas, I made a couple gift purchases.  Two of my nephews are getting these ~

We also stocked up on Bonine, our motion sickness medicine of choice.  I always take it when I'm flying or having to ride in a car for a long period of time.  Eric went on a cruise with our son for a few days, so I sent a pack with him.  I love that it doesn't make me sleepy when I take it and I can travel worry free of getting sick from the motion.

September 2021 Amazon Purchases

Welcome to Thinking Out Loud Thursday where I share something on my mind and invite you to link up and do the same.  Today I'm thinking about my Amazon purchases for September!

Our great nephew celebrated his first birthday in September and his parents are huge St. Louis Blues fans.  To help the birthday boy fall in love with the Blues too, we gifted him a jersey and a stuffed figure of their mascot, Louie.

We got to go to another little one's birthday party.  This one was for a 2-year old and we gifted him a spinning spiral tower playset.  It was a hit!  His mom sent us a picture the day after the party of him having the time of his life playing with it.

My friend Linda brought SkyJo with her on vacation for us to play.  I was able to quickly learn the game and loved it!  I bought it for me and Eric.  When we went to Memphis a few weeks ago to visit family, I packed this and played with our niece.  It's also going in my suitcase this weekend for a girl's trip.  Great family game!

The Campfire Cast Iron Cookbook: The Ultimate Cookbook of Hearty and Delicious Cast Iron Recipes
My dad celebrated a birthday in September and one of his gifts was this cookbook.  It might have been a bit selfish because I'm really hoping he cooks some of the recipes for us.  He'll have over 100 to choose from!  He loves spending time outside so now he can cook while he's out there.

Another gift for my dad was this cast iron pizza pan.  I shared some of my sourdough starter with him during the pandemic and he started making sourdough pizza crust.  Best crust ever!  This pan will be perfect for his pizzas!

Eric needed more pants hangers so I reloaded on these.  We organized our master closet some months ago and I'm using these hangers for all my skirts.  You can hang four skirts on one hanger!  Talk about saving room.  Eric loves them for his pants and shorts.  One pack comes with six hangers.

The Amazon van didn't make as many stops as usual at our doorstep in September, but I think I'm already making up for it in October.  Did you have any great Amazon purchases last month?

August 2021 Amazon Purchases

Is it just me or did August seems to fly by for all of us?  Today on Thinking Out Loud Thursday I'm sharing all my Amazon purchases for the month.

It was a fun month with a week of it spent at the beach with my friend Linda.  Some of my Amazon purchases made that trip even better!

Look at this cute hat!  I bought it for the beach but forgot to pack it.  So it's still in my closet waiting for its debut.  I'm going to a golf tournament this weekend.  It might just have to come with me!

I saw this baby at the beginning of summer but didn't put it in my cart until right before we were leaving.  It was super easy to use and was perfect to hang stuff on while we were sitting on the beach.  It might have been my imagination but I think it actually helped keep our umbrella in the sand.

Beach Umbrella Anchor
Do you use a beach umbrella anchor when you're at the beach?  It is a true lifesaver when you're trying to get that umbrella stuck in the sand.  We have been using an anchor for years, and on this trip, our old one broke.  I bought this before we left the beach and it was waiting at home when we returned.  It went straight in our beach tub so I'll have it on our next trip.  I'm kind of glad our old one broke because the new one is even better than our old one!

Linda and I are always talking about taking a trip to Paris together.  I thought it would be fun to have this puzzle to do at the beach.  We did get all the pieces dumped out and turned right side up.  That was as far as we got.  Guess it will be a puzzle Eric and I work on this winter!

We turned one rainy morning into a spa experience with face masks I had brought from home.  I love having these around!  They are perfect to tuck in a card or surprise someone with.  Buy them in bulk and you will also have one around when you're ready for a spa moment.

Our Harry Potter-loving daughter-in-law celebrated a birthday in August and we gifted her some fun Harry Potter items.

The mailbox got a new look with our new magnetic mailbox cover.  It's just an easy way to dress up that plain ole box!

A friend of mine was going through something in her life that wasn't her choice.  I thought this book might help her put some things in perspective.

To celebrate fall coming, I purchased a new work tote bag in a nice navy blue color.  I carried a pink one all summer and loved it.  I bet I'm going to love this blue one for fall too!  I know I sure love the price!

Now it's your turn - what are you thinking out loud about today?  Link up and share.  I'd love to hear from you!
