Happy Halloween! I'm sharing some of our Halloween decorations today on Thinking Out Loud Thursday. I swear I was going to post these pictures the first week of the month and time totally got away from me. But better late than never!
Our mantel has become one of my favorite things to decorate each season. It becomes the focal point of our family room!
During one of the girls weekends, we did a little shopping and I picked up a string of wool balls. There is a million ways to use these so I have a feeling they will be appearing for years to come somewhere in my decorations.
I just couldn't pass up adding the Witches Welcome sign!
Another area that gets decorated for most every season is the wooden tray that sits on our coffee table. I purchased this tray years ago to use at a wedding and have loved it ever since!
Eric haunts up our artificial tree by spreading a web and hanging skulls and skeletons.
Hope you have a spooktacular Halloween! I'm going to try very hard to blog about my Thanksgiving decorations before the end of November! Wish me luck!!
Now it's your turn. What are you Thinking Out Loud about today. Link up and share!

Well, this weekend didn't go quite like we had planned, but we did manage to squeeze in all the fun we could!
Friday night we lounged around and totally caught up on The Voice. I made roast beef sliders from the leftovers of a roast I had cooked earlier in the week. They were delicious!!
Do you remember those pumpkin rolls from Trader Joe's that were in my Five on Friday post a couple weeks ago? Well, if you haven't tried them RUN to your nearest Trader Joe's and buy all they have left. Saturday morning I fixed a can for me and Eric. So good!
We were hoping to do some hiking on Saturday, but the weather forecast looked like this:

Expect occasional rain to continue for the next several hours.

We instead decided to hang around the house and take it easy. It gave me an opportunity to clean up some emails, comment on a few blogs I enjoy reading, and clean the fuzz out of my blowdryer vent. Also, I had time to investigate which hotel I wanted to book for the RISE Conference next June. That's right - I'm going to the RISE Conference in San Diego!! I've been drinking the Rachel Hollis kool aid for a while and I'm so darn excited to be going to her conference next year. Anyone else going?
After a full day of messing around the house, we got ready for the evening. We scored tickets to see Celine Dion in concert. Before heading to the concert venue, we grabbed dinner at The Fountain on Locust. You might remember me and a few friends had gone there and tried their dill pickle soup some months ago. I have been craving that soup ever since then! I know it might not sound good, but folks - it's delicious! I paired it with a great salad that had a caramelized apple on top. YUM!
The concert was amazing! That lady can sing! She mesmerized the crowd with 18 songs, a 16 piece band and 5 outfit changes.
During the encore, she came out of a white fluffy cloud dress and hundreds of lit drones flew around her. Coolest thing!
Her North American tour is just starting, so if she's coming to a city near you grab some tickets. Great show.
Sunday Eric had to work in the morning. I had a wedding meeting at the house and managed to make a couple Halloween cards. Have I told you in the last five minutes how much I love my Silhouette? With the Silhouette Cameo and my embossing machine, making these cards literally took 15 minutes. Good thing because they need to get in the mail ASAP to arrive in time for Halloween!
When Eric got home, we ventured to Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant to do our monthly tasting. We barely fit this in before the end of the month! Where has October gone?? On the way to the restaurant, we drove through Forest Park just to see the beautiful colors on the trees. Eric was a real sport when I asked him to pull over so we could get a picture with the leaves.
And just like that the weekend is over. I have a fun week ahead - a friend and I are taking a vacation day tomorrow to explore a town in southern Missouri. Pop in later to hear about our trip.
