I'm not going to lie, our decorations went up a bit late this year (like yesterday). But now that they are in place I'm a little sad I didn't get them out sooner. Take a look ~
I am absolutely having a ball decorating the three tier tray Kayla and Ian gave me for my birthday last year! It hasn't made it through a full year, so with every holiday I'm out trying to find things to embellish it. This year I found the cutest fabric wrapped balls at a resale shop when I was shopping with my friend Linda. I can't help but smile when I see them because it was such a fun day spent with her.
The tray sits in my kitchen window. After years of the same items being in this little corner, now it gets a face lift with every season.
Now for the fun facts about the day we're celebrating today ~
In July of 1776, the US population was 2,500,000 versus today's population of 329,111,131.
Our current flag designed was chosen in 1960.
Congress made Independence Day a paid government holiday in 1941.
61% of Americans own an American flag. 61% is also the number of Americans who will be attending a July 4th picnic.
40% of Americans will attend a fireworks show.
July 4th is America's number 1 beer drinking holiday. Cheers!Whatever you have planned for today, I hope you have a wonderful time! Eric and I are planning to head to downtown St. Louis to watch fireworks under the St. Louis Arch. They have the best display!
Now it's your turn. What are you thinking out loud about today? Link up and share.
Your three tier display is beautiful—I never know how to decorate mine but this is adorable. Hope you have a very happy 4th and thanks for sharing July 4th trivia! Hoping to attend a bbq today 😊

ReplyDeleteHappy 4th! I love your decorations.
ReplyDeleteSaw a pic of your decorations on Instagram. They are among my favorites of all that I have seen. I would love to make some of those little patriotic balls. And that Uncle Sam turning flips is adorable. So glad you are enjoying your tray.
ReplyDeleteI started a Thinking Out Loud post about legacies and then got sidetracked so maybe I can share this coming week. Will link up my 4th post, I think!
Hope you are enjoying your day.
Fun Post---and I'm getting so the night before to decorate for everything is standard, LOL. Grins, hope you had a great 4th!
