Five on Friday - July 31, 2020

Who's ready to rock the last weekend of July?  One more month of summer down.  Before we're off to make the most of it, here's my five for today ~

1.  National Girlfriends Day
Saturday, August 1, is National Girlfriends Day.  What a great time to celebrate friendships!  Rather you've been friends since childhood or just recently met, send a note to your girlfriends letting them know you are glad you're friends.  There's no doubt that friends make life better.  Use this day to express it!

2.  The Friendship List
Are you ready for your next good summer read?  New York Times bestselling author Susan Mallery has a new book hitting the stands on Tuesday - The Friendship List.  Preorder today and it will be at your door the day it comes out.  Here's the summary from Amazon ~
Single mom Ellen Fox couldn’t be more content—until she overhears her son saying he can’t go to his dream college because she needs him too much. If she wants him to live his best life, she has to convince him she’s living hers.
So Unity Leandre, her best friend since forever, creates a list of challenges to push Ellen out of her comfort zone. Unity will complete the list, too, but not because she needs to change. What’s wrong with a thirtysomething widow still sleeping in her late husband’s childhood bed?
The Friendship List begins as a way to make others believe they’re just fine. But somewhere between “wear three-inch heels” and “have sex with a gorgeous guy,” Ellen and Unity discover that life is meant to be lived with joy and abandon, in a story filled with humor, heartache and regrettable tattoos.

I have been having trouble sleeping lately, so when I read about this pillow mist I immediately put it in my Amazon cart.  Come Sunday I'll be spritzing this on my pillow in hopes of drifting off to a peaceful night of sleeping blitz.  Pacifica Lavender Moon Body & Pillow Mist is a plant-powered aromatherapy that smells like lavender with a hint of rose.  Do you have a pillow mist you love?

It's no secret that I love, love, love my Sipsby monthly subscription.   Well, this month one of the samples was Vahdam Sweet Cinnamon tea.  Oh.My.Gosh.  I can't get enough of it!  The samples were gone in a hot minute so I order more.  Their customer service was great and the tea was delivered in a flash.  I decided to share a few bags with friends so I'll definitely be reordering soon.  Add this to your tea list - you won't be disappointed!

5.  Life lately.....

We are loving having sports back!  This weekend we'll be watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Blues hopefully doing our city proud and racking up the wins.  It's supposed to be a little rainy, so I'm not so sure how much time will be spent in the blowup pool.  What's on your agenda for the weekend?

  2. I look forward to reading that book too. It sounds great. So does the cinnamon tea. As for pillow mists, I don't often use any but I love vanilla body mist.
