Five on Friday - November 14, 2014

After work today, I'm officially on VACATION for a week!!  Oh my goodness, I'm counting the minutes.  We're going to head to Kansas City this weekend for some good times with friends, including a night out with some of my college sorority sisters.  (I almost said "old friends, but we're really not that "old".)  Then on Tuesday we fly away to Charleston, South Carolina.  This has been a busy week not only from a work standpoint, but lining up house sitters and getting ready for our trips -- I'm ready for the fun to begin.  So let's get this party started with today's Five on Friday.

2.  Ice Cube Trays
You might be wondering how the heck ice cube trays made anyone's five -- but let me tell you.  I use ice cube trays to store my earrings.  Each little "cube" can hold a pair, they are stackable and fit nicely in my drawer.  In this month of giving thanks, I'm thankful that I figured out by using said ice cube trays to organize my earrings, it makes my morning rush to get out of the house so much easier.  No more frantically searching for two earrings that match or that special pair you just HAVE to wear that day and not being able to find them.
                              
3.  Room Space Heater
Eric and I like to keep the house cool at night while we sleep and we really don't want to heat the entire house for the hour in the morning when we're getting ready for work.  Our solution - we put this little space heater in the bathroom and just heat that room.  Love this little thing!

                                     


4.  Rosewater
Rosewater opens today -- Jon Stewart's first attempt at directing a film.  The storyline goes like this: Reporter Maziar Bahari is accused of being a spy and imprisoned by the Iranian government shortly after a "Daily Show" correspondent interviews him in Iran in 2009. He spends the next three months in Iran’s most notorious prison, enduring brutal interrogation sessions at the hands of a man he knows only by his smell: Rosewater. Bahari later reveals he was not imprisoned because of the TV show interview, but because his captors wanted an excuse to lock him up.  Sounds interesting.  Might have to add this to my movie list.
