Hey, hey! It's Friday!! I'm so excited to get this weekend started! Kayla and I are road tripping to Kansas City to join our friends on that side of the state for the Ed Sheeran concert. Yes, it's going to be epic!! Before I head out, here's my five for this week ~
One of my recent Amazon Prime purchases was this set of four Halloween pillow covers. Guys, I love them! I bought four 18 x 18 pillow inserts with the thought that I'd buy pillow covers for the different seasons and just change them out using the same inserts. My original thought was I would put two on the chairs on the front porch and use two in the house. Well, two never made it outside because they are so darn cute I wanted all of them inside! They are a steal at $11.99 for all four. Click HERE to check them out.
2. First Man
Opening this weekend is First Man. This movie sounds so interesting. Here's the synopsis from Rotten Tomatoes:
On the heels of their six-time Academy Award (R)-winning smash, La La Land, Oscar (R)-winning director Damien Chazelle and star Ryan Gosling reteam for Universal Pictures' First Man, the riveting story of NASA's mission to land a man on the moon, focusing on Neil Armstrong and the years 1961-1969. A visceral, first-person account, based on the book by James R. Hansen, the movie will explore the sacrifices and the cost on Armstrong and on the nation of one of the most dangerous missions in history.I remember when we saw Gravity with Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, I got a little motion sick. I'll have to remember to take my Bonine before we head to the theater to see this one just in case!
3. National Dessert Day
Get ready -- Sunday is National Dessert Day! What's your favorite dessert? I love a good pie. I also love a good cake. Hmmmm, guess I really love dessert! Whatever your favorite is, make sure you enjoy it on Sunday in celebration of National Dessert Day!
4. Halloween Donuts at Krispy Kreme
Have you been by Krispy Kreme lately? Look at these adorable Halloween donuts! Maybe a donut would be a great way to celebrate National Dessert Day on Sunday. You could pick one of the four Halloween varieties. The Trick-or-Treat Doughnut features the original glazed dipped and drizzled with salted caramel and then topped with crushed Halloween candy. If that doesn't sound good to you, there's the Monster Batter Doughnut which is filled with cake batter filling, slime-green icing, monster eyes and sprinkles. Or maybe you would like the classic Jack-O-Lantern doughnut or the Chocolate Iced Doughnut with Halloween Sprinkles. These will be around until October 31 so get them while you can.
5. I need a housekeeper.....
And I'm off! Pop back in next week to hear all about the fun!

ReplyDeleteThose Halloween pillow covers are so cute. I finally had some Halloween donuts from Krispy Kreme and they were so good. The Trick or Treat donuts have been selling out so fast so I ended up going back the next day. Luckily I was able to find them. We didn't like the Monster Batter ones as much as the other ones.
