Weekending - October 2, 2020

Happy Monday!  Here we are - the start of a new week.  Before I get too deep in this week's activities, let's do a rewind and look at the weekend ~

Eric brightened my weekend a couple of ways.  First, by bringing home this lovely bouquet of flowers!  He sure knows what makes me happy!

The second was him installing a new light in our master closet!  I have been wanting a chandelier type light in that space for years, but couldn't really justify pulling the trigger on the price for a light that basically no one will see but the two of us.  Well, I found this gem on Amazon and the price was definitely right!

There was a little assembly involved and we Eric had to make an extra trip to the hardware store, but it's up and I love it!  Not only is the light itself beautiful, but also the pattern it projects on the ceiling.  I'm doing a little closet overhaul, so you'll be seeing this baby again in that post.  But I couldn't resist showing it off today.

Saturday I binge-watched the entire first season of Netflix's Emily in Paris.  Adorable show!  Lily Collins (Phil Collins daughter) plays the spunky Emily Cooper who moves to Paris as an ad executive.  The Paris office isn't overjoyed to have her in their office, but she slowly starts to win them over.

Each episode shows a fair amount of the city and it brought back such great memories of our trip to Paris a few years ago.  I can't wait to go back!

Our front porch got its fall transformation.

The pumpkins had been hidden in the corner of the porch since I picked them up last weekend.  I'm glad they are on display now!

A free sample of Pond's Rejuveness Skin Tightening Serum arrived last week and I'm giving it a try.  We are two days in and you are supposed to start seeing results in just seven days.  I'll let you know my thoughts after more use.  Has anyone else tried it?

Hope your week is off to a good start!  I'm pretty busy on the work front, but hoping to get in another recipe blog this week.  Pop in to see what I'm sharing!

  1. Great little recap! Those flowers are lovely. They look like the ones the farm up the street from me sells each year. I love them!
